Microsoft official admits Windows 7 design inspired by Mac OS X

    M$ may adopt elements from the look and feel of OS X, but in terms of actual user interface and file management, the mess that is windows is all microsoft.

    that said, however one shouldn't forget that both apple and M$ ripped off the GUI concept from xerox.

    Agree, but thats a very long time ago, i believe both have evolved on their own GUI's both aesthetically and functionally... Still Mac Rules! :p

    someone is not getting a christmas bonus this year! LOL!

    this statement tells would be windoze 7 users to go osx instead. the funny thing about the truth is that it always comes out!

    I was able to try out a friend's Dell unit running Windows 7 and yes from the GUI it does remind me of Mac OSX =D

    Haha! Plain stupidity from MS to actually admit it.

    Oh well, it only shows that Mac OS X owns MS Win7.

    I don't think "inspired" is the right word for what MS did.

    to be fair with windows 7, my thinkpad runs windows 7 and during my initial installation of the OS in the thinkpad, it really felt like installing a snow leopard. fast and simple. but nothing beats the real thing so after a couple of days i got myself a macbook air.
