It is now available online, though I'm not sure if it is here in the Philippines.

    Office 2008

I have a friend who works for Microsoft that will give me a copy of the student/teacher version. It'll be a couple of months before I visit the States and get it. I'll try to review it once I've had some time to use it.

Here's a review some someone who seems to be more of a pro:

Security Issue in Mac Office 2008 Installer

If you want to update the file ownership settings yourself, here are the instructions. You must be an administrator on your Mac to do this:
    1. Log in to the computer by using a user account with administrator privileges.
    2. In /Applications/Utilities, open Terminal.
    3. In the Terminal window, type the following command on one line, and then press RETURN.
      /usr/bin/sudo /bin/chmod -R a-st
      "/Applications/Microsoft Office 2008"
      "/Library/Automator"
      "/Library/Fonts/Microsoft"
      "/Library/Application Support/Microsoft"

    4. When prompted, enter the password for the user account that you used to log in in step 1.
    5. In the Terminal window, type the following command on one line, and then press RETURN.
      /usr/bin/sudo /usr/sbin/chown -h -R root:admin
      "/Applications/Microsoft Office 2008"
      "/Library/Automator"
      "/Library/Fonts/Microsoft"
      "/Library/Application Support/Microsoft"

    6. If prompted, enter the password for the user account that you used to log in in step 1.

Gomi, I did see that thread, but I just thought I'd post a new one since the software is now officially available.

    Blessings!
