Yup, but the article I shared reserves a parking slot for you in advance... So you won't need to go around looking for a spot

For curbside pickup they should allow the use of handicap parking as the pickup would not last more than 5 mins assuming everything is in order

Not really related to road traffic, but DOTr is doing a survey on accepting EMV contactless payments (i.e. tap to pay via Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Amex, etc) on public transit (rail, bus, etc). I just answered and I also suggested that they make a digital version of the Beep card so we can use it with Apple Pay.

If you want to suggest it too (so they can take notice), use this Apple Support link (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207154) and LA's Tap card (https://www.taptogo.net/articles/en_US/Website_content/iPhone-and-Apple-Watch) as references in the additional comments section on the last page of the survey. mm...dapat sana iisang standard lang. Katulad ng Octupus Card ng HK. Universal acceptance ay walang problema and this pandemic should have been the perfect time to massively push for cashless. Kailangan ng batas kung wala pa. Force the payment processors to form a single consortium to come up with one system that can be scaled up nationwide basis. Cash money is dirty and a known fomite for covid virus.

I agree... 1 card for public transport, toll fees and parking...

In Singapore, they successfully managed to configure their system to use credit cards, then and later Apple/Google/Fitbit pay.

We've been admiring the Octopus Card since the 1990s. Hey, it's been a while since I've typed a date that begins with 19, such has been the length of time that has passed.

And now they have the Octopus app.

"Always be two steps behind" doesn't sound like a good vision statement.

I think they are considering open-loop ticketing. This would be good since commuters would be able to use their EMV contactless credit and debit cards at public transit in addition to the beep card. I agree about having one standard commuter card though, there should only be beep and no more other copycat cards. beep + EMV cards should be enough if properly implemented.

Been driving a lot these past few weeks for no reason at all :)

I think its time we remove 1 lane/side from major roads (we have the Skyway Stage 3 now, and NLEX Connector is scheduled to be completed next year)

Removing a lane from EDSA and C5 will mean a better side walk and bicycle (and electric scooter) lane for everyone.

If we're lucky, maybe the local government can add plants/trees on the new sidewalk. (as long as they don't allow vendors)
