Impossible chicken nuggets are headed to stores with remarkable chicken taste and no dinosaur shapes | CNET
I've tried the Impossible Burger and it tastes a little bit like Beyond Meat Burger. They don't really taste like real meat, which isn't a bad thing. It's a different taste altogether, and you just have to know that you're not expecting to taste a hamburger, but something else. That being said, I'm just wary of all the other "non meat" ingredients that went into making the final product. It won't be part of any "natural foods" diet, if you ask me.
We’ve been having lots of the veega products (San Miguel foods) lately, and sometimes we get Unmeat (Century Tuna group’s versions of non meat stuff). Both are all right. We really don’t like Quorn (imported brand). Aside from not being meat though, I suppose the other ingredients and preservatives in them would have the same health concerns as usual.
The patty may be plant-based but what about the breading, sauce and dressing? Does it contain animal products like egg? ;-)
