My mbp's superdrive squeaks on boot-up is this normal or do I have to go to a service center and have it checked? Also every time I put in a cd it generates annoying sound like its crushing the cd but in terms of read/write I have no problems. Do you also experience this?
I think thats normal..My current MBP makes the same sound and so did my Powerbook and 3 Macbooks. Even my iMAC makes that sound when inserting a CD. Enjoy your MBP and to be safe get an Applecare soon, if you dont have one yet.
Yup same here, I think it's normal. I've had several MacBooks, mine for the office, for home use, and other members of the family. I always hear some sort of "servo" sound whenever I boot up or wake it up which I think is just usual occurrence.
