MBP CPU speed bump, 2.53GHz is now 2.66GHz

    They have also begun offering a 256GB SSD upgrade options for the 13" aluminum MacBook and 15" MacBook Pro as well.

    With all the new Mac upgrades did you notice that the MBP 2.53ghz is now 2.66ghz;)

    now that you mention it, it is indeed updated. End of Life (EOL) na 2.53ghz :)

    Wow this was most unexpected...

    Never realized that Apple would do such a random update. I was just expecting the desktops to be revised.

    they didnt change the 2.4ghz

    So they changed to a new batch of 2.66GHz chips? Or are they using the same chips, just a faster clock?

    I find this strange as well. Despite there is a "NEW" bubble above its display on the Applestore nothing seem to be different.

    a 256gb SSD option, i think.

    That is true. But even the Macbooks have the 256gb SSD option but it does not have the "NEW" bubble on top of it. :eek:
