hi guys -- i just noticed a few days ago that my SD slot is unable to read SD cards or take about 5 minutes to mount them if ever the SD cards mount ( i have 3 and all three and it's the same for each). anybody has any experiences on this? any suggestions on a fix? it just happened. i always use this slot for my photos and didn't have problems with it until a couple of days ago. i thought a reboot would fix it but it's still the same.

    help.

Might just be a coincidence by my SD card recently broke down and is currently un-usable after only about a year of use. But with the scarcity of responses, I guess yours is an isolated case and mine was just a case of a dying SD card (Patriot brand that I got free from my DSLR) rather than the SD card slot destroying it.

As for me it doesn't take long to load. The loading time is the same as when you load a USB stick. I tried 2, 4 and 8 GB microSD's using an SD Card Adapter and they all worked fine. Transfer rates are fast din. Maybe you should have it looked at.

No problem here Jon, tested a 4, and 8 gig SD.
