    Hi. Need help.

My MacBook Air 13” mid-2013 can’t detect its boot disk anymore —-question mark folder. Tried all troubleshooting like reset NVRAM, disk utility, safe mode, etc but to no avail. So i’m thinking maybe the SSD is already busted.

I’v been told that replacement can only be ordered thru apple store. Is this true? There are SSDs available in some computer shops here and a lot cheaper. But i’m wary if those will be compatible.

Can someone recommend an online shop where i can purchase one? And is the DIY replacement doable?
