Sting's slated to perform on December 9 at the MoA Arena. I wonder if Ovation will be selling the tickets at more reasonable rates.

I really want to go to this concert but the prices are as if they've been around for so long! It's too much for a new band. I could be wrong though.

They were supposed to a few years back. I got tickets but then they disbanded before they were able to come here. :(

I hope they come now that they've reunited!

i heard the buzz on the internet as well. they'll be brought by CNCA media concepts. i think they're fairly new in the concert biz, no?

well i just hope they do a better job this time around because the last time Paramore went here and performed in the MOA concert grounds, us VIP ticket holders got a horrible deal. VIP ticket holders have their own special section in the middle but behind the gold and silver section! they changed the arrangement just hours before they opened gates, and said it was the band's wish.

^well, i for one would commend a band that favors real fans over sponsors/patrons, who typically do not pay for their tickets. so if they favored real-paying VIPs over corporate/patrons, kudos to them. otherwise, if they just flipped the seats so their VIP friends can get a better view, well yeah that would suck. :D

regardless, the organizer should've sorted that out before the seating plans were made public. otherwise, it's bait and switch, which is always a b*tch. ;)

^ they should have limited the bumping-off to non-paying ticket holders; i.e. complimentary.

it's the biggest stink of all to declare VIP tickets sold-out when it was actually given away for free, presumably paid for by actual ticket-paying customers. if only there's a way to regulate the complimentary ticket policy at concerts.

the worst kind are officials, celebrities and media personalities who strong-arm producers for free tickets.

i suspect that organizers are complicit too. they typically mark an area for patrons and sponsors, but are probably only contractually bound to give part of that area to the patrons/sponsors. the rest they sell through off-line (and off-the-books) channels.

and if there were regulators, they'd be in it too.

    disconcerting. :p
