Here's something interesting that you might want to try:

Blackhold Media notes pink noise as "...a signal with even power distribution on a logarithmic frequency scale..."

Noise is an application that basically creates pink noise (it can also generate white noise) to mask the background noises of your work environment. I've been trying it for a week now and it seems to work for me. LOL! Puts me right into do not disturb mode.

It sounds like one continuous crashing ocean wave. ;)

Other cool stuff here (most have been discussed in some of the threads though).

    It works!

My roommates were all watching TV and talking and I wanted to get some work done; I put on my earphones and turned on the Noise. I was able to read and concentrate despite the things going on around me. :)

I usually leave the TV on ANC or TravelAsia for my pink noise when I work. I hate working in silence too.

LOL, glad to hear it works for you fids. I tried the same thing but minus the earphones (used a bigger speaker). My guitar playing, rock music blasting cousin suddenly sat down and read a book!

Yeah looks like a move to reduce heat. I'd love to really get some good reviews in...heat has always been an issue.
