IIRC (months ago) YouTube TV and/or fuboTV had a free trial period (7 days?). I tried YouTube TV, then did the Pinoy thing—cancel after the deed. :D But IIRC, I may have needed to VPN for that. So if you already have a VPN subscription, that may be worth a try. If not, there are free VPN trials too. :D

Woohoo! My congratulating the Astros after Game 5 worked—it jinxed them. :D

Thanks for sharing our (bitter)sweet schadenfreude, guys! :D

Go nuts, gonads, go Nats, congrats!

History has been made. The first time in any major US sports league it has happened that the away team won every game in a 7-game series.

That's a Jeopardy question, that deserves a 30 For 30 documentary, that is truly one for the history books.

Congratulations to the Nationals for winning it all tonight!!!

Quietly celebrating in my cousin's basement here in Potomac, MD.

Will have to find some WS gear this week to commemorate this momentous occasion!!!

There wasn't, until today. There's always a first time, and of course it happened in baseball. I love this game. Cheers! :)

    Well, how about that :)

Let's all do the Washington cheer... "Lock him up! Lock him up!"

That's for free agents Strasburg and Rendon, lock them up in good contracts.

I am happy for Zimmerman, their team's Ovechkin—they both spent their entire careers in DC, both starting in 2005, and endured many losing seasons, and heartbreaking playoff losses (although I enjoyed Capitals' losses to my Rangers hehe). And both became champs for the first time recently. Congratulations!

    ^Hahaha, good one.

Let me add to that. On Astros' victories in DC: Happy hollow win! :p

The Astros be like the GS Warriors after their 73-win season (107 wins) then lose it all in the Finals (World Series) to the Nationals in their home park. Incredible run indeed.

Ok so let’s get on with the Trump impeachment which I am sure will have more fans out celebrating in the streets when he does get axed.

    Another trivia,
In the year 2019 there are now 4 first time World Champions.
    NBA - Toronto Raptors
    NHL - St. Louis Blues
    WNBA - Washington Mystics
    MLB - Washington Nationals

If only the St Louis Rams hadn’t won it in 1999, technically the LA Rams “haven’t” won it in LA, they could’ve beaten the Patriots early this year in the Super Bowl. Alas, Brady still won it all.

It's obvious Gerrit Cole is not coming back to Houston after his interview. He wore a Scott Boras cap, not an Astros hat, said that he didn't want to talk to reporters at first because he's not an employee of the team, and then told reporters that it was a pleasure to play in Houston.

I really hope he ends up with the Yankees. It'll be like when CC signed with the Yankees in 2009. But I think there's a small chance he ends up in a small market team like what happened to Machado.

yankees need a strong arm if they really do not want to be first round fodder.. Cole is the biggest arm in the market. I'm sure they are gunning for him

& today, it was announced that Chapman got an extension with the yankees.. not sure if im happy with that but then he's still the best in the market now.

Didn’t catch the DC parade for the Nationals, though. Traffic advisory warned of built-up traffic into and beyond the Capital, well until Maryland. I was hoping to catch some Nats memorabilia to bring home but I figured no one wants a Cinderella world champion that can go bust next season. But I do have a Yankees snapback so I’m covered on that. ;)

Great to be back home. Traffic is still horrendous at 4am. Jet lag seeped in and I’m on my second cup of dark coffee.

I'm still in Maryland and conveniently kept away from last Saturday's parade by going to a party at a cousin's house in Virginia.

Saw some Nats WS Champ caps and shirts at a DC mall today but realised I got no real deep connection to the team nor DC itself, hence no spark to purchase any.

    Welcome home to you!

^Yea indeed what would I do with them now if I ever get one? ;)

Good thing my flight from DC to Seoul was around 1130am so traffic was lighter then. I heard the parade was rowdy and loud but Washingtonites aren’t actually known to be party lovers anyway.

I am sure the Astros are gunning to keep him too—probably why (sheer conjecture) they opted to not pitch him in Game 7. Doing so may have sent the wrong signal—that the win is more important than the "safety" of the most-coveted free agent in years.

Regardless, baseball is "a game of inches"—more than any other team sport. Where else would you find a player substitution be so magnified? Replacing Greinke—who was pitching lights-out baseball until the Rendon homer—with anyone but Cole will be endlessly debated. But in no other sport is a coach/managerial decision more scrutinised.

Baseball, like life, is a game of inches—which is why "I love this game", even if that slogan is associated with another sport. :)

Former pitcher Mike Fiers outs Astros using cameras to steal signs. Good stuff.
