I discovered that aside from iTunes and iPhoto, Mail is another app that occupies a lot of space on my drive. Is it ok to: 1. Delete the contents of the Mail Downloads folder once I've saved the attachments to a specific folder on my hard drive? Or will doing so wreak havoc on my mail messages if i refer back to them from time to time? 2. Archive all contents of my .mbox folders on a cd then erase all the mailboxes so I can start "fresh"? Will Mail recognize the archived .mbox folders on that cd if I wanted to look for old emails? Thanks in advance.
thanks elbert! weird, this thread didn't come up in my search results (although i searched for mail downloads, not mail folders). cheers!
