For some reason, mail.app won't download my emails from my gmail account in bulk - it downloads them one at a time. For example, if I have 10 new emails, I have to click get mail 10x, instead of just once and getting all 10 messages in one go. It's a bit annoying and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? Any idea of how to fix it? Thanks!
Does this happen all the time? Have you tried downloading mail from other connections? What kind of Internet connection are you using?
Just recently and only with gmail (my other POP mail seems to be downloading fine). I'm on PLDT DSL and I tried downloading mail from a friend's house (also PLDT DSL) and its still the same. Could it be a gmail problem?
My gmail is working fine with Mail.app. You might want to revisit the Apple Mail setup page and make sure to follow the instructions precisely (make sure you have the port settings right).
Yup, re-checked my setup and everything seems to be in order (just like the screenshots), so I'm pretty lost. There wouldn't happen to be a "Reset Mail.." like in Safari? hehe
im also experiencing problem with gmail pop today...mails download fine in that if i have 5 new msg all are downloaded at the same time...problem is that some msg only the attachements are downloaded not the text msg thats part of the mail. i had to view the mail using safari and the web interface of gmail to read the text msg part.
