Do you guys use mail app? is it very useful? I'm just wondering if it's wise to use it and if it's way better than going the usual route of browser then mail.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using Mail app?

Personally, I find using Mail more convenient and efficient than having to use a web browser to read and send my e-mails. I have more than 2 e-mail accounts and Mail enables me to manage all of them simultaneously and effectively.

Smart Folders in Mail also help me get my e-mails organized-- business, personal, GF, family, etc..

It really depends on each person's preference, but I do find it useful as I can have access to multiple email accounts in just one interface.

You can have a feel on how others in PhilMUG are using it by using the search function. A lot of discussions have already been posted regarding using Mail app with Gmail, Yahoo, etc. Please read the threads and see if it's right for you.

    HTH. Cheers!

I tried attaching a 3 mb file and sending it to someone but during my first try, there was some error with the server thing. i deleted my gmail account in the Mail's preference so I could refresh the whole thing.

this time it sent but it took a long time just to send. that's when i realized that maybe it had to do something with me messing with my Mail App so that I could use my Yahoo Mail via macfreepops.

The problem said it had something to do with a server, something about "smtp.gmail.pop.com" and a localhost server.

How do I refresh everything? Is there a way to restore Mail app to default settings?
