Any raves or rants when running Macromedia apps in OS X?

I just saw this thread in MacNN and most users were complaining about Macromedia apps..

You know how it is. People with complaints like making themselves heard in online forums while the satisfied users are quietly working on their next projects. ;-)

I occasionally use Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Freehand 11. They're not perfect (no app is) but I find them better than the Adobe equivalents. I don't use them professionally though.

I know that there are lots of Freehand and Dreamweaver users here. I'm sure we'll be getting their opinions soon. :)

I run macromedia programs simultaneously with a number of other programs and I don't encounter any other problems. Sometimes I run both Adobe and Macromedia at the same time with other programs and I've got no qualms. Maybe calibrating your battery properly so you'll get optimum performance should do the trick :2cents:

just yesterday i was using Macromedia Flash MX on my iBook for a presentation then it just hangs...saying i don't have enough memory to open the file but not to worry that the file wasn't corrupted...I then transferred it to the G5 i use in our office thinking that it would be ok...but same thing happened...tweaked it and a picture was missing from the library, just deleted it and everything is ok.

I use Flash and Fireworks with an occasional Freehand and everything works smoothly, even with my 800 iBook

i run both dreamweaver and photoshop/ imageready simultaneously and have no problems so far. of course we hate seeing that time clock rendering.. but there's no problem at all.

uhm, case of missing photo in Macromedia Flash Library? it happened to me once. MX is prone to file corruption but i guess it minimal.
