macOS Monterey is compatible with the following Intel-based Macs
macOS Monterey is also compatible with all Macs containing Apple silicon.

Looks like Intel Macs wont be supported by ~10 years.

When is the release date for macOS 12? I only saw Safari 15 on System Update

Late October or early November, and will probably be released alongside refreshed M1 Macs

^ I hope they consider transitioning into 3:2 Aspect Ratio.

Installed it already, no problems so far. The low power mode makes my m1 mac a battery champ with no noticeable performance penalties.

Download now is too slow. I've restarted several times and its really slooow. Nothing's wrong with the internet. I've tested in speedtest several times with my mac and I get my 150mbps down and up. But this monterey download is extremely slow. Like 8 hours slow.:(
