    Hey guys!

My Macbook unibody's trackpad is having problems.
Sometimes it when you click, it doesn't register sometimes it does.
I've been using it just for several months...not even a year!

    cheers!

check your battery, maybe it is bloated, i read that bloated battery may affect trackpad functions. in my case, i had bloated battery but no problems encountered on my trackpad. just got tonight my replacement battery at digital hub v-mall.

I have the same problem. It won't respond to clicks anymore but I can still tap to click. How long did they take to fix it?

Had my topcase replaced for a keyboard problem. If you drop it off early on a Monday, you should have it back by the end of the week.

i also had this problem last october and have it sent to Digital Hub V-mall. they found out my trackpad to be defective and they replaced it. i believed unless there are some other problems other than the trackpad, like the keyboard, they will replace the topcase. but first, have it check. it's better to be sure. have the service center see it. goodluck.

I have the same issue especially when I boot up Windows 7. Thinking of having it repaired or replaced in response to justinferreros' case. :(

i dont think bloated battery is due from over-charging, as you will noticed that our macs will not charge unless the battery charge is below 95 %. maybe i got a "lemon battery", i'm lucky because it goes bloated before my one year warranty expires, since applecare does not replace battery because they treated that battery is consumables item. i heard/read in this forum that "sometimes" apple replace bloated battery thru applecare.

It's a good thing that my Macbook Unibody Aluminum is not experiencing that.

Can they change the trackpad only without the entire topcase?
My trackpad is a bit unaligned, probably around 0.1mm, but I'm OC (hehe).
I have been holding off sending it to an AASP because of the horror stories posted here with replaced top cases.
