    I'm having 2 issues with my Macbook, its a 2.4Ghz 2007 model.

    1) The Bluetooth suddenly becomes unavailable for no apparent reason. It just dies occasionally and I can't replicate it. It just dies and I have to restart my Macbook to enable it again.

    2) It doesn't sleep properly. Sometimes when I select it sleep the screen dies but I can't restore it back. The external light doesn't blink and remains on all the time. Also it turns really hot as if it were running without the fan.

Is this signs of my Macbook already dying? It's still under warranty and I bought Apple Care so any shop should replace it under the event that it does die right?

i don't think they would replace it with a bnew unit, more likely they would consider replacing the parts that are defective lang..have you tried upgrading your firmware? are you on tiger or leopard?

    Hi there,

I had the same problem with your macbook before.

1.) The bluetooth automatically turns off and you have to restart just to turn it on. The apple service center were able to fix mine, they said they were able to replace my bluetooth with new one.

2.) My macbook don't sleep that well, I mean there was a time that I had a presentation and I charged it to 100% thinking that it would be sufficient to last my presentation. So i didn't turn it off, kept it on sleep mode and to my surprise when I got it out from my bag, it's burning hot and the charged is 0% already.

I think this is a common problem with core duo macbooks, the difference right now is that the heat was lessen with the new gen macbooks.

I suggest you bring it to an authorize service center and let them observe your macbook.

    Goodluck!

Alright thanks. Any recommended service center? I live in Marikina and the only ones I know near are the one in SM Marikina or the one in Gateway. I won't be able to bring my Macbook within the next few weeks though, I'm currently drowning in school requirements.
