So I went to this site to check how is my warranty doing. This is the first time I checked my warranty because I bought it last December 2008 through Apple Online Store in the US. https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do entered my serial number, put US, pressed ok and then I saw this. i am definitely sure I put the correct serial number. We're sorry, the number you have provided cannot be found in our records. Please verify the number and try again
Maybe you typed it wrong. Open Apple System Profiler in Applications > Utilities and copy the serial number in the Hardware Overview. Paste that in the Apple Support site.
did you register ur product online when you first booted your mac? if you haven't you'd get a shortcut, or alias, named send registration in your finder-> Macintosh harddrive. it's like a butler's icon, an icon with a bowtie and suit.
+1 on just call Apple Support to confirm how much longer you have on Apple Care(with or without APP) the customer support will entertain these small tasks... Also it's a toll free number... Might also want to double check what's your serial number on your "online receipt" since you didn't mention if it was a refurb unit or not the serial number may be different if the logic board was replaced as others have stated that after having their logic boards replaced.. Also, it would be more "humanly" to just have said that..."i already double checked" the serial number... And not to "TYPE IN ALL CAPS" that method could have easily been taken in the wrong way... Readers here are more than eager to help in whatever capacity they have, so no need to be "Instantly" , "Shouting" at the replies one gets...
My 'two centavos': It WON'T hurt to respond less strongly to others who are simply trying to help. +1 for raising the matter with apple support, as you say your S/N was entered correcty. Good luck.
I agree. Btw I saw your signature that you are selling AppleCares. How many do you still have? Thanks
I gave them a call already. It seems that they registered the wrong serial. problem solved. Thanks guys for the help.
