hey guys, is it possible to upgrade the memory of my laptop to 2gig from 1gig ram? or even to 4gig? coz im using this laptop for games only and i find my games kind of slow, my friend told me its because i only had 1 gig memory.. and if ever i can upgrade it, how much would it cost? and how long will my laptop be gone? thanks!
Yup it's possible. For my MacBook, I upgraded to 3GB (2GB+1GB) courtesy of Ynzal. I got the additional 2GB RAM module for Php 2499. It was discounted due to the Inventory Sale (and that I'm part of their mailing list ). Perhaps the MBP's RAM module price is just around that, or a bit higher.
My Macbook Pro has 4gb ram, originaly it came with 2gb, I removed the 2 x 1gb ram and replaced it with 2 x 2gb ram.
mcblack: isnt it better to buy from the official macstore like the one in rockwell, greenbelt etc. and also, they will be the one to assemble it, you just have to pay. rattrapante: so how much did it cost you to upgrade urs to 4gig? coz im planning to upgrade mine (1gig) to 4gig as well
nah just get some ddr 667 transends or kingstons. you can get em for like under 1400p for 2gb each easy. depending on your model it may only support 3gb or 4gb i think
im a nub with computers, but how will you install your 2gig memory/ram x2 to your laptop? do you like let a repair shop open it up and install it for you? or do you like connect it to a usb or something? sorry but im not good with computers :/
you can have the guys you buy it from install it usually the shops will gladly install them for free silcon valley will do it
so it has to be like installed into your laptop, meaning your laptop will be opened up and stuff like that then connect this to that then close ur laptop? or am i wrong?
PC House near Gilmore is selling 2GB Kingston SODIMM DDR2 667 memory at Php1280 each, that would be Php2560 for 2 pcs. PC Options Gilmore may even be cheaper...
Here's what I upgraded to. Although I bought the Kingston's 4GB KTV series, I immediately just decided to get myself the HyperX series to try it out in my MBP. I haven't installed it yet, will post benchmarks soon.
oh wow, just saw PC House's price, its now only Php1100 for each 2GB Kingston SODIMM DDR2 667 RAM and usually, PC Options could be cheaper than PC House's...
