macbook alum and toshiba hdd swap

    Guys,

    I want to upgrade my mb's hdd for few more gigs. I have a toshiba machine with 250 gb hdd can't i just swap the drives? is this actually possible

    @gman: If the toshiba has a SATA HDD, you can indeed swap the drives.

    yes i think its sata m305 satellite

    indeed you can. you might find it harder to peel open the toshiba though. plus you'd have to reformat both drives once they're swapped and installed.

    hi gman, if you plan to DIY, try looking at ifixit.com or powerbookmedic.com. They have instructions on how to open your MB.
