I just did. smcFanControl is installed, so I could see the rpm at 0. Googled frantically, saw a thread on the Apple forum that suggested I give the unit a tap underneath the power button.

    It worked. Whew!

Anyway, has anyone else had this problem? Is it a recurring one? Should I bring it in for servicing?

    Thanks for the input :)
