Can anyone help me how to connect my Mac to a pc, using windows xp home via modem. My brother and I are trying to connect our computers and play games ( warcraft) via our modems.
Is this possible? Do I / we need an additional software? I'm using Panther, he's on windows xp.

Are you on desktops or laptops? My wife, my friends, and my PC-using brother have managed to successfully pull off a couple of Warcraft sessions using nothing but wireless network connections (with one of the PowerBooks as the "host" in Airport's computer-to-computer network mode). In fact, we used to do that in restaurant12 :p

Both desktops. We tried connecting via hyper terminal on his side and dial up modem on my side. Wireless connection for us is'nt possible since we're both desktops and he's in greenhills while i'm in makati. So we're trying to connect via dial up modem.

One thing i can tell you is VPC (Virtual PC) doesn't exactly give spectacular performance.. Have you checked on the blizzard website or in their support forums?
