Are you tired of flurry? I've been using this pretty spiffy quartz screensaver for a couple of months now so I thought I'd share this one, LotsaWater. As the name implies, it simulates rippling water over your desktop as a screensaver. It's quite accurate and looks really real when you have your display in a horizontal position.

A little warning though; this uses up quite a bit of CPU cycles when activated especially when you turn all the settings up. Don't even think about running this full steam on an unplugged PowerBook/iBook if you want to get any work done after admiring the hypnotic ripples. I do fine with the bare minimums with only a slight hit to my battery life.

The screensaver is Universal Binary and should work with the Intel Macs. Download here... 154K.

i was working with dominiquejames late last satursday night and he said he wanted to show me his screen saver. "you should get this," he said. "I have that!" i said. we had a good laugh.

A little OT, when screensaver starts, should it interrupt Internet connection such as when downloading stuff?

Do you guys notice that the ripples do not have the destructive effect when hitting another ripple? Or my PB is just too slow for me to ntoice it...

    Amazing though...
