    I have a MBP Early 2011. 4GB RAM. Intel Core i7

I am on Snow Leopard but I want to do a fresh install of Mavericks. I can't download mavericks installer on itunes. Anyone who with an itunes downloaded mavericks installer? I dont want to download from torrent sites.

    Appreciate any help or referrals.

Also, how is the performance of mavericks on Early 2011 MBP?

    Thanks

Yes. I can't download the mavericks installer from app store already as i didn't download it before. I am looking for an app store downloaded mavericks installer to do a fresh install. I do not want to download from torrent sites. I am wondering if you can help me get a legitimate app store version of mavericks. TIA

I was checking the Apple Support Communities and it looks like you can't download Mavericks if you didn't "purchase" it using your AppleID.

Why don't you just go straight to OS X Yosemite? Your MBP is compatible with the hardware requirements of Yosemite. Check out the How to Upgrade article on Apple.

    PS. Edited the thread title.

I think OP is saying that OP wasn't able to purchase Mavericks at the App Store during the time it was offered - and now he wants to upgrade to it and needs help obtaining a copy because now it isn't offered for purchase at the AppStore anymore.

As for Yosimite, OP fears that using the lastest OS X might hinder the performance of his MPB due to t being a bit of an old model.

    Thoughts?
