Most of us at Hit are on Logic Studio - out of the 8 in house composers, only two are still using Digital Performer. I switched over to Logic Pro early last year after more than 10 years of MOTU Performer/Digital Performer, and I don't regret it one bit! It's great stuff.

i'm still checking out Logic Express. I have an unlicensed Logic Pro 8 but haven't installed it. I'm thinking of getting the licensed version in the US next year when I visit. there's a student discount for $150.

 

Anyone with a link that shows the difference with Logic 8 and Logic Express? Thanks...

 

Don't have a link but one difference is the surround sound capabilities. Express is meant to work just in stereo. I think Space Designer also doesn't come with Express.
