Hi, just wondering if anyone was able to replace their lightning cables even if it has a crack? I was told by PMC that if a lightning cable has a crack it won't be eligible for warranty? TIA.

Not sure, but I think it's on a case-to-case basis? I have a friend whose cable started to fray (the coating on the wire itself) and it was replaced by the Apple Service Center where he brought it to.

Yes they can easily have it replaced although you might need to wait for 5-10 days. Apple chargers break so easily, I had 3 original ones already. :(

I went to PMC Annex to have my lightning cable replaced but apparently they told me that it might be a counterfeit. I was shocked since the cable came from Globe's package and I have no idea how could it be fake, I even checked the comparison on Apple site and it seems legit aside that it is an inch shorter than the original one, which I also compared with my iPad's cable.

Still, they accepted it for verification but they keep insisting that the request might get decline.

Anyone who has the same issue?

Anyway, I'm posting the memo from PMC regarding lightning cable replacement.
