I'm finishing up on the LawJuan 3.0 update... It will be a fully packed update, it adds TONS of new content, new great features and other enhancements. I completely rebuilt the app from the ground up; from icon to code; enhancements from search to UI; from speed to accuracy. I am also rechecking each law for errors and as much as possible I would like to provide the most complete, accurate and comprehensive app for Philippine Laws.

I'm also working hard on the finishing the database for LawJuan: Jurisprudence. It will be based on the new LawJuan 3.0 update, so after I finish the database and recheck its accuracy, it won't be long before its release.

    Thanks.

Im having problems with the search function. It seems that when I try to type in only key words, i always end up with zero results. I always have to type in exact RA number or the title of the law before I get anything. This wasnt the case when I had it installed initially. Or is this just normal? should i do a re install? I already did a reset, didnt really help.

Yes, search will find either the law number or keywords present in the title of the law... But the upcoming LawJuan 3.0 update will improve search, providing better results even when searched words are not included in title.

    Thanks.

    Re: Re: lawjuan

For the jurisprudence, are the cases searchable by their scra or GR numbers? Having both would be good.. Thanks again

^ ok thanks. The update would be great. It would really help if the search engine was more powerful. I use the app quite a lot for work. when I was a resource person for one of the networks at the start of the impeachment trial. I used the iphone with the app as a crib note during the interviews. :)

    awesome news! :)

    can't live without lawjuan. :)

i know it's already asking for too much, but if there's a way to hyperlink related laws - especially amendments to old, old laws that would be awesome.

other fonts would be nice. eventually, if there is a way to somehow synergize the laws and jurisprudence apps into one awesome package (perhaps can be done via IAP?) - it would be a dream come true!

just as an example, say i'm looking at cases on corporate name (sec. 18 of the corp code). my finger floats over sec. 18, and a dialog box pops up with snapshots or even just the links to cases covering this provision. that way, i can easily grasp the meaning of the provision vis-a-vis how the supreme court has interpreted it. i don't know how realistic or feasible it is, but it's an awesome feature to die for. :)

@jcjuan. Free update? The updates look promising.

@enuhski. I think Access law (in partnership with CD Asia) provides that feature that youre talking about but their version is limited to desktop PCs as far as I know.

I suggest that there be a report error functionality so users can easily report errors in the law. In that way, we can help improve the quality of the database.
