With the card I used to order iPad mini from PH store it did actually show the amount was pending while the order was in transit. It was already deducted from my credit limit though not technically charged yet.
If you purchase from the apple store app, will you immediately be charged on your credit card or you’ll only be charged once they shipped?
The credit limit will be deducted, the amount will be on hold until the item is shipped out. Once shipped the charge will be cleared and billed on your account.

Hi anybody heard from the grapevine when the M1 Macs be reaching our shores? By now the earliest estimate of the Apple store delivery is on the first week of February. I need one badly and hope to get one by January for an upcoming project.
Nothing from the grapevine but I did notice that BTB and Power MAC Center are already advertising them on social media, along with different payment plans. That might mean local stores have some stock ready. I ordered mine on the 26th from the Education store and it’s arriving in the middle of Feb
Did you need to submit supporting docs when ordering from Education store? From what I read, they're just updating the current MS Office available for the Intel Macs, making them universal and optimized for both versions.
Nope. I had to tick a checkbox that promised that the device would be used for Education purposes. But also, I'm an Apple Teacher, and I got certified for that a long time ago. I did have the option to Checkout as guest, though, so maybe you wouldn't need supporting docs.
I am also interested in suggestions for apps. I bought the entry level MBA at the BTB flagship store at Lazada. Thank you again guys for providing the tip that BTB and Powermac posted at its social media accounts. I think the one I bought was the last one at Lazada. Even at Powermac Rob Magnolia, their last stock was gone by yesterday early afternoon.
