I will be in Manila on Thursday, July 10,2008 to setup a laser engraving service. Initially, my shop will be located in my house in Malabon City...not the best location as it is too far from the city centres. I already have the laser engraving machine and I should be ready in about 10 days. Engraving laptops and other electronic gizmos is one of my targetted service.

Please use this forum to address any questions or email me directly at: [email protected]. I am Canadian Pinoy I.T. professional wanting to renew my ties with our country.

    Thanks

Well, its kinda scary to get your 70K+ Macbook Pro etched especially when this can kill the resale value of your Mac. So only the few and the brave will try it. :)

may a small or relative etching would do. i'm planning to etch my mbp to conceal small but irritable scratches on the cover itself, but honestly i'm on a deep thinking of this.

@RYAN: yeah i guess you're right. well, my MBP is 100% scratchless and i'm not actually considering this etched.. was just wondering if somebody here had their units engraved.. i'm actually toying with the idea of playing with my 4G Nano's (either i engrave some stuff at the back so it looks unique LOL)

i have tried etching my ipod touch 4th gen yesterday at DCIphil. They were really good there and they were very accomodating. They will do whatever to make your design work and they are honest to say if they do not know the answer to your inquiry. We were just nervous because we did not know how the etching will work cause the ipod touch has a different material than the macbooks.

Here is a screen shot of my ipod

Lazer etching is a sure way to protect our gear from being stolen and for it to be easily recovered.
