Please recommend a good Korean (non-BBQ) restaurant

Wife and daughter are presently craving for Jjajangmyeon, Kalguksu, Doenjang jjigae, Sundubu-jjigae and Bingsu

There’s this old Korean Restaurant that I used to frequent back in the day. It’s Korean Garden in Jupiter, Makati. They’re famous for their Beef Stew, they also serve Sundubu Jigae. They’re probably closed for dine in because of the pandemic in but they might be accepting take out orders.

Subscribing to this thread. My favorite Korean restaurant in BGC has closed - Namoo (Maple Tree) House it was more of a bbq place though but their kimchi stew and galbitang was really good.

Pre-pandemic, I go to these few Korean restauranst in Poblacion Makati - namely Jumong Korean Restaurant and another one nearby minsok. My favorite for bbq is Seoul Galbi on a budget and Namoo for a splurge.

Joong hwa ban jeom is something we tried in Grab. Unfortunately their fish egg roe noodle soup isn’t available now....must be off season.

if you do decide to try, please let us know what you think of them. Their egg tarts are also good while hot.

Best authentic Korean fried chicken - Won Chicken. It's a small Korean owned resto in BF Paranaque...even if we live far from BF I have it Lalamoved... Mayak Honey Butter Cheese chicken is my no. 1 recommendation to order.

I buy Jjajangmyeon, Kimchi and Yangnyeom Chicken from https://www.facebook.com/happileekitchen.ph at least twice a month :) They are in grab food based in BF Paranaque and has a couple of branches now. Its been tough to find Jjajangmyeon since the pandemic but I'm glad I discovered this place.

Anyone remember Masan in the Burgos area? It was run by a mother and her daughter. Authentic home-cooked Korean meals. I wonder where they are now.

Yes indeed... this is still my best Korean restaurants, servings are generous, price is very reasonable, service is quick and food quality is tasty and always fresh. I always visit early afternoon to avoid some rowdy soju Korean customers. hehehe
