    Hi guys

Got a macbook pro around a month ago and last night the keyboard backlight won't lit up

when i push the light button F6, a "do not enter" sign appears on the screen.

    anyone knows why?:(

did you try to cover the sensor near the isight (camera), top middle portion of the screen and press f6?

The keyboard lights will only turn on when ambient lighting is a bit dark. Try bhoyet's suggestion.
If it still doesn't work, check that "Illuminate keyboard in low light conditions" is ticked in System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse.
