There have only been a few creatives who definitively changed the world. You can say that for Charlie Parker or Jimi Hendrix, for instance. There was rock before Jimi, and after Jimi, which were worlds apart.

You can say the same for Steve Jobs (and Jony Ive). Apple's real game changers for me were: Apple Computer, the Macintosh, iTunes (and to a lesser extent the iPod), and the biggest of them all—the iPhone. Before the iPhone, people looked at their phone sparingly, for text messages. After the iPhone, the world took a "nosedive" and devolved to this:

Fandroids can rave all they want about specs, but the photo above can only be attributed to—or blamed on—Apple.

That said, we must deeply honor Jony Ive, like this video does:

Life is short. Laugh it off. :)

I’m intrigued with Jon’s choice of the Apple Watch Edition in white ceramic since it’s still a Series 3 watch and Apple hasn’t come up with a new version of it. Unlike the Hermes editions, the ceramic watches are far lesser in price but still retain the luxe feel and elegance of its more fashionable cousins. Besides it has a more minimalist watch face that is not available to regular Apple Watches.

Here’s a great interview piece on Jony Ive by Ben Clymer of HODINKEE Magazine

Now we know what Jony Ive has been doing lately. Shortly after leaving Apple, Ive and his friend and collaborator, Marc Newsom, just made an all-diamond ring from a single one.

There might in fact be some truth to rumors Ive’s new company LoveFrom would also dabble in fashion after he was espied with Tom Ford.

    So now we know.
