Is anybody using Numbers here? I am experiencing lagging when I type a word or a number in the cells. This is frustrating. Reminds me of typing on a Mac SE. Help!

I use Numbers regularly. I use it almost everyday. I don't experience any lagging, even when I'm running other applications at the same time. I'm using a PowerBook G4 15" (1.5GHz, 2GB RAM, and still on Tiger 10.4.11).

What machine are you using and what are its specs? Is your copy of iWork up-to-date? If yes, did you repair permissions after updating?

I see from your sig that you're using a PowerBook 12." I also started using Numbers on a PowerBook 12" (1Ghz G4, 1.25GB RAM) and both Pages and Numbers felt slow. I experienced the same "lag" in Numbers. My processor was also working extra hard (according to MenuMeters). Now that I'm on a C2D MacBook, all iWork apps work just fine. I think the problem is just that the apps use a lot of processor power, which the G4 don't have enough of compared to the Intel-based Macs.

    Hope this helps.
