    iWork ’09 System Requirements:

    - Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (500MHz or faster) processor
    - 512MB of RAM; 1GB recommended
    - 32MB of video memory
    - Mac OS X v10.4.11 or Mac OS X v10.5.6 or later
    - QuickTime 7.5.5 or later
    - 1.2GB of available disk space
    - DVD drive required for installation

** Some features may require Internet access; additional fees and terms may apply. Similar to iWork '08, iWork '09 does not include support for some Chinese, Japanese, or Korean (CJK) text input features such as vertical text.

I was really looking forward to iWork '09. I loved the '08 suite and I found it perfect for my productivity needs. Pages, Keynote, Numbers--all of them!

So who's getting one? I'm ordering mine today!

It's available for $79 at the US Online Apple Store. In the PH Online Apple Store, it's 4,590 Pesos. If the quote I receive is unsatisfactory, I might order mine online.

@soloworkx: I think it's USD99 in Apple Online Store US; it's PHP5,790 in Apple Online Store Philippines.

I feel I haven't even fully utilized my iWork '08 yet--and then this!

Is there anything special about iWork '09? I missed the even last night... now I feel like I'm late.

Kuya! Long time no see! :D Missed you at the family reunion!

Yes, it's 5,790 Pesos for the family pack.

I'm fiddling with the trial version now. I'm definitely ordering one today! Thank heavens it's still compatible with the older Macs. :)

I'll download the trial tonight since I'm much too excited to wait for the Mac Boxed Set Family pack that I ordered to arrive.

BTW, if I install the trial version all I have to is enter the serial number included in the box set when it arrives, right? I mean, I don't need to re-install the iWork version that comes with the pack?

I posted this on the iLife '09 thread. Thought I'd post it here as well for information purposes. I'm neither condemning nor condoning group buys. Just wanted to make everyone aware of the facts.

    http://www.apple.com/legal/sla/

This is the Amendment to the EULA for the Family Pack of iLife '08 (highlights by me)

So unless you all live in the same location, you will be violating the EULA for the Family Pack if you group buy.

There are no technical barriers akin to Microsoft Genuine Advantage in Apple's software products, so you can still buy as a group. Just wanted to put out the facts before you guys decide.

Good thing soloworx and I are related via his Lola Aurora, who is the cousin of my Lola Namiki, who's married to Lolo Monty (born 1911, worked as a Sailor before joining the Private Reserves, saw action in the battle of Pelikan Bay, before Vanishing at one Point near Montegrappa...) :p

kentamayo: Bro, mom says your room's a mess! Clean it up or she said she'll apply black paint over all your lenses and flashes.

Kidding aside, folks... I haven't ordered my copy yet. I'm still waiting for the quote from Gloria of The A Shop. It's either that or the PH Online Apple Store for me. Any news on how much Charlie will be selling iWork '09? :)

Lolo Monty's battle saga is questionable - witnesses say he deserted his ship (I think it was the HMS Conway) near the town of Visconti, so he's not the Hero we'd like to believe that he is. I think he eventually became a Duke after marrying Marlen, a rich widow (what a cad!); poor Lola, left grieving for a lout...

    Most likely not.
Apple is very clever, they try to add 1 app per year in order to make sure the end users will buy it every year.
What will they add next year?
