Hi, I searched the forum already for a question like this and I didn't find one...would like to ask help regarding "parent" and "child" webpages. This is what I want to do: have a main header (example: BALLS) on the main webpage then when one clicks on "BALLS", they get to a site with several links (the child pages) like "BASKET BALLS", "BASE BALLS", "TENNIS BALLS" and each of these, when clicked, go to another webpage. Can someone help me try and do that? Thanks so much in advance!
if i understand your question correctly, the answer is to create the child pages, then put child links in the parent page. to create a link: 1) highlight the text (usually title of the page) that you want to link to the child page; in the inspector panel, go to the links tab; 2) check "enable as a hyperlink"; 3) under "link to:", select "one of my pages", then pick the child page you want to link 4) repeat for other child links and if you don't want to include links to child pages in the navigation menu, select the child page and in under the page tab, uncheck "include page in navigation menu". hope this helps.
hi rbenzon! yes, you understood correctly. thanks so much for your quick reply. i tried it out but the "enable as hyperlink" is grayed out (so I can't check it). help again please. (thanks again in advance.)
that probably means that whatever it is you selected/highlighted is not hyperlinkable; i.e., the text is too long, or you selected a text container, and not the text itself, etc. try pressing the right (or left arrow), just to make sure that you deselect the unlinkable selection made. the "enable as hyperlink" might toggle into a checkable black. good luck.
