Hey. I'm new to the mac. I've been tinkering with Senuti for a while now, since I wanted to copy my iPod music to my Mac. The problem is I also want to copy some of the metadata I've made (i.e., play counts, ratings, etc.) since I've had my iPod for like a year now and it's depressing to start all over again with the play counts. I believe it's doable, but I'm afraid that I might accidentally erase my files. Any suggestions on how I can most easily go about this? And also, should I format my iPod classic to Mac? Can I do that without eradicating my music files? Thanks.
I did a quick search in google and found iPodRip to be interesting for your case (restore play counts, etc). I got the tip from this forum thread, just read it and you may pick up some tips. Apparently, iPodRip is a paid app. I hope the metadata restore is available for the demo app. How I wish I knew about this app when I moved to a Mac.
