iTunes on Windows: Not Responding

    I'm having problems with iTunes on my Windows machine. To be exact, the current version of iTunes. I've never had a problem before. Whenever I plug in my iDevice, iTunes verifies the device first, right? Well while it's verifying and syncing for the first time, iTunes will stop working. Second, movies now play very very choppy.

    Hope someone can help.

    EDIT: now when i try to play a video, all i get is a blank screen. no audio or video.

    I am installing iTunes 10 in my Sony vaio but it keeps installing the lower version, 9.0.18 something, but the apple software upgrade is saying otherwise.

    It only happens in windows 7 but not xp, at first I though it was just my one vaio, but the 2 Sonys actually stops in version 9, very strange, now I cannot even sync the iPhone cause it said it needs version 9.2 of iTunes .

    Has anyone there encountered same problem?
