I have a bunch of Rolling Stone magazine covers and I'd like to feature them as a screensaver similar to the iTunes Artwork screensaver. Is this possible?

have them scanned and save as JPEG files. then place them in one folder named let's say 'magazine covers'. go to System Preferences, Desktop & Screensaver control panel. here you will find settings for the screen saver. Just assign your 'choose folder' setting to 'magazine covers' immediately you will see a preview of the screen saver using your pictures! the option button allows you to change the behavior of the screen saver, while the test button tests the screen saver in full screen. you can also use your IPhoto albums for the screen saver!

i think dominiquejames meant to have the Stones covers collaged all over the screen, like the way the album covers are used in the iTunes Album Artwork screensaver...

I think for that to happen, you'd have to delete all your other album art, and just attach the Stone covers on some tracks as their new album covers (but of course this is stupid, since now you have wrong artwork for your music tracks, and you scrapped all your hard work with the album art just for an screensaver.)

mazinger's suggestion about the folder screensaver is the closest thing, i guess...

except i'm not sure if screensaver has a function to collage all the pics and flip them one by one, like how iTunes does.

before i wanted an application that can allow you to create collages of different Jpegs, something simpler than photoshop. if anyone can suggest one let me know :p

hello farankoshan and mazingerph, what i wanted was a screensaver behavior similar to that of the album cover art of itunes when it is selected as a screensaver where the covers fill the entire screen as collage and then individually flips. i already have the rolling stones magazine covers in jpeg format.

iTunes does it naturally. But again, unless you don't mind removing all your existing album covers, think again if you'd wan to do all that JUST for that screensaver effect...
