    Some may get an error 13014 (?) when syncing their iphones. Just disconnect the iPhone, restart iTunes. Had to do it twice before the error went away.

    My experience with iTunes 8.0.1 is good. So far, no hitches and glitches. Listened to songs, browsed the iTunes Store, downloaded apps, viewed podcasts, synced iPhone; all seems to be well.

    I'm thankful for the fix about losing HD downloads while downloading.

    I was downloading a 1.45GB episode of Grey's, when I stopped it and put it to sleep to go eat. When I came back and restarted iTunes and checked purchases, it restarted from zero! Arrrgghhh! And I was upto 1.02GB at that point too. Grrrr.

    At least this was remedied. :)

    Just a tip before updating. If you have any downloads from the iTunes or App Store in progress, complete those downloads before updating to 8.0.1.

    I had 2 HD shows in progress. After the update, they're back at zero and I have to start the download from scratch. Grrrrr.

    I'm having hard time downloading this update and updating my ipod too. I don't know why. An error message is popping out. Maybe it's my connection or something.

    Folks, just a friendly reminder. Simply saying "thanks for the heads-up" or "downloading now" and the like are "somewhat discouraged" (for lack of a better term). Let's observe good housekeeping here. Let's post more substantial replies such as observations on the update, pros and cons, issues solved or issues that suddenly surfaced, etc. In short, let's post our experiences with the update instead of a mere "updating now..." or "downloading now".

    Just a friendly reminder. Peace, folks. ;)

    Back on topic: I just downloaded the 8.0.1 update this morning. The first thing I noticed was that iTunes now launches faster. Version 8.0 gave me lots of "bouncing" time. Not anymore, with this recent update.

    I also noticed that my apps update responds faster now. Anybody here notice the same thing?

    I also noticed that if you have downloaded both the HD & SD versions of a TV show, before it would be listed as two separate entries. Now they are listed as one with a (HD-SD) tag.

    Kind of weird. What if you want to delete or make a playlist or whatever with just one? Any way to get it back to the old way?

    I don't know if it's the iTunes version, or the Apple server, but I have more connection/downloading errors/time-outs now with the iTunes Store and AppStore. My internet connection is ok as I see Software Update connects swiftly. I hope it's not because of 8.0.1...

    @macdrive,

    I don't have timeouts or errors per se. But I've noticed that "Checking the iTunes Store" whenever I finish a paid download or starting a paid download takes noticeably longer than before.
