Hi! Just bought roybens and caseology case from Amazon. It was my first time to buy from there. I was shocked of the shipping and import duties (and deposit?) if I'll have it shipped here in the Philippines so I shipped it rather to my aunt's place in US who will be going home on April. Isn't it tax-free now for P 10,000 and below? And there's a free shipping for orders $ 49 and above, so is it real and only import tax should be paid? Sorry, Amazon newbie buyer here.

Thread might be re-titled to something more descriptive like say 'Amazon US Bargain" or "Amazon US Must haves"

@donski - saw a similar case being offered locally on the shopee app. Price was around 350-400 php only.

Citibank PH has a promo for its credit card holders. 10% rebate for purchases in Amazon.com for a minimum of USD50, until February 28, 2017. No promo code needed, just purchase using the Citibank credit card. Free shipping is also offered for the promo code: CITIPH, on some purchases.

Good thing I waited for this before checking out my cart. Any rebate is better than none. ;)

Just to add, the promo code CITIPH will not work if your shipping address is not in the Philippines.

For the 10% rebate, I'll just note here the fine print from their website:
Cardmembers will receive 10% rebate up to USD10 for any orders with a minimum spend of USD50 and above. This rebate is available until 28 February 2017 or first 4000 orders, whichever comes first.

I keep getting the message, your promotional code cannot be applied to your purchase.

I think the free shipping is only applicable for some chosen tablet/laptop purchases.

    Very tempting.

For those interested with the Amazon Echo, now's the day to make that purchase.

Quick question: Does Amazon do door to door shipping to Manila? Thanks!

^But it would cost more vs having it shipped via Johnny Air. Also, take note that if you have it shipped directly from Amazon to your doorstep, the item you bought might be subjected for taxation. - worse, they can give you just a claim stub, and you'd have to get it from the nearest post office or at their EMS in Pasay. - yeah, been there done that.

And who would have thought that one can buy Google Home from Amazon...

Better than Echo. Just right at $135. Plus tax, of course.
