I'm helping out a friend sync her V3i with her mac address book which follows a last name, first name format via iSync. Syncing is successful, but the phone reflects a first name, last name format. Am I missing something in the iSync configuration? Thanks
This has to do with the way iSync maps Address book's fields with the V3. The V3 has only 1 field for "Name" whereas the Address book app has "First Name" and "Last Name." The iSync profile for the Motorola V3 has First Name + Last Name = V3 Name. Sadly the sort criteria in the Address Book application does not translate to iSync (and therefore the V3). There might be hacks for this out there but I haven't really gone out and seached for the solution as First Name + Last Name works fine for me.
