hi, just was wondering, is there a counterpart of the nokia pc suite for the mac platform? how else can i sync my nokia phone with my mac? thanks.
Normally, you can sync your Mac with your Nokia out of the box: http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/ What model Nokia do you have?
I sync my ibook with a Nokia 6600, via blue tooth and iSync. Am able to keep the calendar on my phone in sync with iCal. Works pretty well.
If you're talking about using the PC Suite to sync your Nokia with a Mac, there's no such thing. I've asked Nokia about this a couple of times and all they say is that they don't have any for the Mac. Maybe later on they will. Sana nga. Right now, you can use iSync to sync address books and iCal to your phone. But PC Suite has other uses, like upgrading firmware, etc.
I have an Nokia N73 and I cant find my phone in the list of devices included in the link. What can I do now?
I use the same phone and just google "mac" and "nokia n73" and you should find the link to a German site where you can download a software for it.
I use Isync for my nokia 9500 after i downloaded a patch and played around with the script works well now.
Well guys, we're not exactly missing anything great if both Nokia and SE have not ported their apps for the Mac. Their PC versions suck big time anyway. At least with the Mac, we have iSync to accomplish most of what their dedicated apps overpromise but underdeliver.
go to the nokia website, they have an updated list na of nokia phones that are noe compatible with iSync. peace out!
connect first via bluetooth and link your phone to your mac. when connected, do a scan with isync, you should find your phone there and will be able to isync with it anytime.
