I know a couple of people who sells AppCare codes over the internet. And the prices are so tempting.

Im just curious if these are really official. 2nd, are there any bad experiences with these codes?

This will be my first time to buy an AppCare since the first two 'books i owned had AppCare.

No need. ^_^ You just have to visit this link, http://www.apple.com/support/applecare/overview/ , create your apple account if you don't have one yet, and follow easy instructions from then on.

    Good luck!

Yeah, I myself got my APP from a PhilMUG seller, and the transaction was pretty smooth (made a bank deposit, faxed the deposit slip to the seller, received an email containing the codes, registered at Apple).

I guess the reason for it being cheaper is that there's no more box/manuals to mess around with. No shipping costs, too. Anyway, after registering the code, you won't have any use for the box anymore. :)
