Sorry for the stupid question. But I've never used my mail app before. My situation right now is that my mom is a new mac user and would like to use her mac both at the office and at home. problem is, her office addi is different from the one at home. How do i go about doing this with just a click of a button? is it possible or not?

Yes, you can. I have 8 different email accounts in my Mail. I can view a consolidated list, or view specific account inboxes, sent items, drafts, etc. I can also send out email using any of the accounts through a simple pull down list.

Yes, you can add another account. Just click File on the menu bar then click Add account. HTH

2 POP accounts shouldn't be a problem. What kind of error do you get?

Of my 8 accounts, 6 are POP and 2 are IMAP. It should work and the number of accounts you can add is limitless.

Same here. My wife and I share our Mac and use Mail to retrieve email from our separate Gmail accounts (i.e. 2 POP accounts).

You should consider using Fast User Switching if you're sharing your Mac with someone else.

When creating accounts, notice that you can change the name of the account ('POP Account'). You can change the name of one account to Personal Gmail and name the other Business Gmail, for example. The account name is used by Mail to uniquely identify your mail accounts. 'POP Account' is only the default name given each time you create POP accounts in Mail.

It really depends on what version (or localized domain) of Yahoo! Mail you are using. This question has already been answered though. Check out this thread:
