SLIGHTLY OT: Really? How does it perform? I've been holding off my wife's 2015 13" MBA upgrade to High Sierra, but this might help convince me.

@makinao I owned an MBA 2013 which I upgraded to High Sierra, no difference in performance naman. I don't do heavy tasks though in that laptop since I owned an iMac then...

^ Also just upgraded to High Sierra last weekend on a 2012 MBA after putting off the upgrade for quite some time now

My available free space increased from 16GB to 26GB probably because of the APFS

Been contemplating on getting the MBA 11". Just having second thoughts because it's a 2015 model. Did they upgrade something in the recent release?

Finally gave in and bought a Macbook Air 11 from BTB Greenhills this afternoon.
After months of contemplating as to which notebook should I get for school, I think the MBA 11 2015 would suffice as I'll mainly use it for my papers, some research and Excel work.

I'm a Mac virgin hence I've spent the whole day tinkering this baby.

For those who are looking for this variant, they still have stocks at BTB Galleria and City of Dreams (based on Lana's reply on my inquiry).

Apparently. Was also surprised to see that in the list. But they didn't have the MBA11 2nd half of last year. Would have preferred the 11 over the 13 for its extreme portability.

I have the same question..I was holding off since WWDC, hoping that Apple would release a new MacBook Pro/Air but even after Sept 12, there's still no new MacBook.. :'(

Fingers crossed for this.. :D It's OK if it would be priced the same as the current MB Air...as long as it's not more expensive..but of course, the lower, the better.. hehe

2 Windows laptops died on me in the last 8 years and maybe it's time to explore the Mac OS and the MacBook lineup - it'll be my first so I'd appreciate your thoughts on whether I get a 2nd hand Air or wait for a possible refreshed Air line-up later this year. 'Wont need that much MacBook power - just a stable laptop to use at home or if I'd work from home. #MacOSVirgin ;)

I suggest waiting for the keynote that's rumoured to take place later this month. Either way, even if you don't end up liking the MacBook refresh, you're in a position to find better deals for majority of the older models simply because by then replacements are imminent. From the brief description of what you need the MacBook Air to do, I don't think you can go wrong with them. My 2011 MacBook Air is still chugging along nicely! (y)

Addendum: Some people say it's taking place between October 19 – 25.

Awesome! That's one sturdy MacBook Air you got there (rhyme much? hahaha) I'll probably give this until end of the year or Q1 of next year before making a move. There'll be enough reviews on the new MacBook lineup by then.

    'Appreciate your thoughts on this.
