My Mac has been slow lately often beach balling. I was suspecting Firefox. So after switching to Safari things were ok. Anyone experiencing this too?

I don't know exactly what Firefox was doing but this multicolored orb (beach ball) keeps coming up screeching everything to a halt. It wasn't this way before but I guess it accumulated junk along the way. I've temporarily disabled phishing measures and so far it has been cooperative. But to be honest, There is no problem with Safari and I am wondering why I even bother with Firefox.

By that you mean plugins? I might as well delete them.

Yah, it could be the plugins. I don't have any installed and I've never had a problem with Firefox 3.

I've disabled the security options and so far it has been running fine. I haven't seen the beach ball yet.
