iphoto : thumbnails empty

    i was trying to make some changes with the pictures in my iphoto (trying to make images smaller). i used automator and smallimage also.

    now the thumbnails are just gray... not the one with the exclamation point but just gray with white border... the pictures are still there when i click on the thumbnail though...

    what did i do wrong? :)

    Looks like you might need to rebuild your thumbnail cache. Quit iPhoto, then hold down the Command and Option keys, and click on the iPhoto icon in the dock. iPhoto should start and rebuild the cache (it might take a very long time for it to finish, depending on the size of your collection).

    hi thanks for the advice :) it worked but now some of the pics have " ! " inside... and it seems to have slowed down. :)

    Hi, you might want to repair permissions.

    Go to Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility, click on your system disk, then click repair disk permissions.

    Hope this helps.
