my friend, lost some of her pictures in iphoto. she put in some new pix, opened iphoto the next day & all of her previous pictures were gone. she tried verifying and repairing disk persmissions and relaunched iphoto. no pix. she tried looking for the album in finder, found the album names-data but not the album itself.

    any suggestions?

what version of iphoto she have?

maybe the photos are still in the computer. Try to look inside your home folder (your personalized name): Pictures: Iphoto Library. Do not rename the folders inside or drag it outside coz will not work. instead you can duplicate the folder to another location for your back up.

    Friend, friend.. ay sos.

Hello my friends! I can't believe it just upped and disappeared. I would do a search of a photo's name and see where it leads me.

The same thing happened to my mom. She swore she didn't do anything funny before some of her photos disappeared. The weirdest part of it all was the pictures MIRACULOUSLY appeared after. I'm hoping the same thing will happen to you, krisbau. :)

This may sound stupid but did you guys check the trash folder?

Try checking users>yourname>Pictures>iPhoto Library and go thru any of the folders in the Library. Perhaps some photos are still there. Good luck.

krisbau: did you also try deleting the pref list for iPhoto? I still can't believe pictures can disappear like that.
