Preorder on October 19
they killed the SE ouch.
this, in my opinion, was the best product announced during the keynote. mainly because it is still able to take advantage of the efficiencies of the new A12 bionic chip - 1.5hrs longer battery life than the 8plus and the benefits of the A12 neural engine - all in a cheaper package than the XS.
The r in Xr like “Jr” right? A smaller brethren then...
I am just curious how they can have depth of field and implement portrait mode with a single camera. In the past, they have always reserved this mode to the dual camera phones.
This came out better than what i expected. Liking the space gray one alot.. Hmmm XS or this..
Google's Pixel can do it with software...
Looks like we'll see a "best selling" iPhone announcement by early 2019
I can already see this phone as the default company phone...
This can be a candidate replacement for the SE- the XR.
the more powerful A12 neural engine allows it to be done purely via software, instead of using the dual cam parallax.
How much do you guys think this will cost here when it lands?
Yup, this will replace my iPhone SE although it's a lot bigger.
I saw in apple hk website that the xr and xs max they are sellling is dual sim. Malamang mabenta yan dito sa atin.
I wonder if someone will transition from an OLED iPhone X to buy an LCD iPhone Xr. It will be a slightly larger screen, and a significantly faster processor but without the huge price tag of the XS. Would the shift from OLED to LCD be a significant and noticeable downgrade?
Apple Singapore price is SGD 1,229 (64GB) = PhP 47,931
at PhP 39 = SGD 1 (it's 39.12 today)
I’m intrigued also with Xr screen and performance. I still have my SE and X, still don’t know if I’ll upgrade my SE to this or XS or XS Max if I can’t sell my X. Really don’t know if I will notice the difference between X (OLED) and Xr’s (LCD) screens.
^IMO, OLED is great
But are you willing to pay an additional S$420 for a smaller yet better screen? (Apple SG XR 1,229 vs XS 1,649)
On Android devices, you see the LCD vs OLED difference when you hide the notch, LCD is not black enough - I don't think you have this option with the iPhone.
Low res screen...
Man, this $749 6-inch phone can't play 1080p videos. C'mon apple it's 2018 already
Well, we’ve lived with 326 ppi with the normal sized iPhone 6/6S/7/8 units, so I guess the screen resolution if you’re coming from that phones aren’t really a downgrade. What does the R stand for anyways? Retina?
